"Gimme a Paw" Dog Training School
Before......
After
Courtney and Rob are teaching sit, stay and the watch command
With some simple training exercises Jake and Lucy are now calm with down stays..good job!! No choke collars of any kind were used only praise, treats and a positive relationship  connection between owner and dog.
Wow!! Look at Jake down  stay with all the distractions around him!! Good boy Jake!
Mark is teaching Lucy II down stay
Lucy is doing a line up (sitting by Rob's side) stay..this is great for dogs that jump on people...Lucy can't jump if she is sitting nicely.
When Tyson first came to class his owners were worried he was too distracted and rambunctious and could not be trained..but look at Tyson be such a good boy...a sit/stay and watch command..good boy Tyson!
Break time!!!  Classes are great places to supervise off leash activities and to safely socialize dogs.  Socialization is such an important part of training which is crucial to healthy development.
... a few classes Later, Lucy II is doing a solid down stay!!
Mark is getting ready for our graduation trick class..he is teaching Lucy II to roll over
No Rob is not scolding Lucy!!  Rob is showing  class the trick he taught  Lucy.."Bang Your Dead"..right after this picture was taken Lucy rolled on her side and played dead..
With some practice Rob has shown Lucy a solid sit stay in class..
Proud parents taking Jakes picture
....awwwww poor Louie, he got neutered and had to stay home...I bet he would rather have come to class....
This is an example of a Basic Manners Class.  In this class the doggie students were, Jake, Jack, Lucy, Lucy II, Tyson and Louie. Cues taught: sit, down, stand, stay, loose leash walking, heel, leave it, drop it, watch, no jumping, no nipping, go to your mat, come when called and other problem issues are covered.  Questions are encouraged and all questions are answered.  We make these classes fun for both the dogs and the owners.  Positve training is not just for dogs but for the owners as well!
